A Day Off

Gearing up towards our long hectic weekend shoot (2-20 hour days) I took the day off. Slowly waking this morning to the sounds of James and Robert jovially getting ready for a meeting for a freelance project they've been working on, I was then fully awoken when Anne called. After getting off the phone, I took a shit and went back to sleep. Upon their return, The Dastolis informed me I'd be "choppin' wood."

What this meant was that I would take a large assembled piece of wood (that they apparently found) and disassemble it for later use in the movie. It was an arduous (and tedious) task as I literally sawed through nails and it made me sweat much more then I anticipated. After that I attempted to take a nap, only to have my sleep infiltrated by random Dastoli words and the audio of the soon to be posted third webdoc which was being edited while I slept. I had had plans with Sheldon tonight that I cancelled so that I would have the night to watch Return of the Fly (not nearly as haunting as The Fly), watch Lost (a good not great episode) and generally organize and sort through my life for the next week. It's 10:30pm right now and I'm alone here in the Dastoli apartment. James, Robert and Chris all went to see The Monster Squad with Reiber tonight...I'm glad I passed. I needed the breather.
